Patient Services Team Vacancy
Due to practice growth, an opportunity has arisen for Ibstock & Barlestone Surgeries to seek a new member to join our friendly, hardworking and forward-thinking Patient Services Team.
We have 2 positions available!
•Position one is for 37.5 hours per week.
Monday: 7am – 4:30pm
Tuesday: 8am – 6pm
Wednesday: 8am – 6pm
Thursday: 8am – 6pm
Friday: Non-working day

Wednesday: 8am – 6pm
Thursday: 8am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8am – 6pm
Primarily based at Ibstock Surgery.
We are a busy teaching and training practice with approximately 12,000 patients. Our innovative multidisciplinary team includes 4 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GP’s, 2 Emergency Care Practitioners, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Healthcare Assistants, 2 Pharmacists, Registrars and a Dispensary team who are all supported by our Patient Services Team.
We are looking for applicants who have experience in a fast-paced customer service role, IT Skills (knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous, however training is provided), positive and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure, ability to abide by strict confidentiality guidelines and legislation and the responsibility this brings.
This is a challenging and rewarding role requiring initiative, intelligence, excellent communication skills, tact and discretion and provides a range of administration duties such as:
• Ensure an effective, professional and efficient service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice.
• Booking, cancelling and amending appointments. Including taking basic clinical details and signposting patients.
• Dealing with general enquiries via multiple platforms including but not limited to face to face, email, SMS text message, the clinical system, letter and telephone.
• Adding patient correspondence and coding data into the clinical system.

Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly, hardworking and forward thinking team. The position for this role is Part Time 12 hours per week.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as an Accounts Assistant. We would ideally like you to work two 6 hour days.
Your duties will involved inputting invoices into the accounts system, paying suppliers from the bank account, cash forecasting, VAT returns, dealing with new starters and leavers and other payroll queries. Liaising with accountants at year end. You will check invoices, payments received and dispensary payments and generally help to ensure the financial smooth running of the practice.
A keenness to learn, good organisation skills and a knowledge of accounts as well as the ability to organise your own work are all important for this role. Good attention to detail is a must.
You should have a can-do attitude as well as be an expert user of spreadsheets and be confident with accounts packages.
