Online Services

NHS app

We would encourage all patients who’re able to download the NHS App to do so.  It’s easy to download and set up and allows access to a range of services.

If you already use SystmOnline you can use this as well or why not try both and see which you prefer?

The NHS App will verify your identity without you having to bring down any ID to the practice. This is ideal when we’re limiting face to face contact during the pandemic to keep everyone as safe as possible.  It also means you can set it up at any time to suit you.

The NHS App is available for all smartphones and allows you to:

  • Book GP Appointments – no waiting to get through on the phone
  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • Check your symptoms
  • Send us a secure message
  • See your medical record
  • Cancel appointments easily without waiting to get through on the phone

What is eConsult?

eConsult is a clever bit of software that allows you to quickly and safely get help and advice from your own doctors and GP practice online, from anywhere.

eConsult is a form-based online consultation & triage platform the collects your medical or administrative request and sends it through to your GP practice to triage and decide on the right care for you and everyone else.

Why Use eConsult? 

By submitting an eConsult your doctors can make sure every patient gets the right care, saving appointments for those that need them. If you can use eConsult it means you free up the phone line for those who are not able to use the internet.

We don’t always know what is wrong with us, which is why we go to the doctors. By submitting an eConsult you give your doctors all the information they need to decide on the right care for you and your family.

eConsult is available to use from any device connected to the internet. There is no need to wait in a phone queue or visit the practice. It takes just 3-4 minutes to complete an eConsult and your practice will get back to you within 2 working days, if not sooner.

You can also submit an eConsult via your NHS app under ‘Contact your GP’.


Systmonline

SystmOnline allows patients or someone acting on behalf of the patient to proactively manage their care. The online services available include the ability to view an online Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as well as booking appointments and managing medication.

SystmOnline is available as an online service or via apps, providing patients with convenience and flexibility when managing their care.

The SystmOnline apps can be used on Apple devices (iPhones and iPads) and on Android devices (mobile phones and tablets). They can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and from the Google Play Store. Simply click the relevant logo on the SystmOnline Login page.

You can use systmonline to book the following appointments:

  • Asthma reviews
  • Smear test (after invite)
  • Routine injections (non- travel)
  • NHS Health Checks ( for eligible patients)

Accessing someone else’s information

As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to access services for someone else. We call this having proxy access. We can set this up for you if you are both registered with us.
